Meet: Chandra Vanga
Senior Software Engineer
Q: Describe your role at SRGT? How long have you worked there?
A: I am proud to have been the first employee to represent SRGT in Hyderabad, so I have been with the company for 5 years. I have worn various caps over the five years I have been with the company. It is our constant effort in Hyderabad to enable Blenders’ LMS solution to communicate with different kinds of online learning content in a standardized way. I have been the lead on a few of these initiatives.
Q: What kind of projects have you been working on?
A: Currently, I am exploring various tools and standards available in order to package and exchange digital learning materials and assessments for a number of school districts.
Q: How do you contribute to the development process?
A: Every developer in SRGT is empowered with the freedom to explore and come up with fresh ideas. I help to recommend and implement system-wide improvements and also contribute to our technological direction. Each day I ask myself—“How can we keep improving?”
Q: What is your favorite aspect about working at SRGT?
A: I enjoy the work atmosphere. We have a great team!
Q: What would you change about the world if you could?
A: I would make everyone in this world do Yoga and get peace of mind to live a healthy life.
Q: What is your favorite hobby (outside of work)?
A: I practice Yoga! This is a great stress buster and gives me a lot of inner peace!
Q: What would be your magical power?
A: Regular yoga practice gives me the power to truly relax!
Q: Tell us about your family:
A: I belong to a traditional Indian farmer’s family. We have cattle, pets and we grow our own vegetables. There are five members in my sweet family. First my mother, who is a home-maker; my dad, a farmer; my wife – a software engineer & my younger brother who is with the Indian Army!
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
A: I would like to travel to a place where there is no form of a body and the only presence is the soul.
Q: What is something no one knows about you?
I am an open book—I don’t think there is anything I haven’t shared with those closest to me.
