Tech Team Tuesday: Rajendra Prasad

Rajendra_Prasad_MedarapuMeet: Rajendra Prasad, Lead Software Developer

Q: Describe your role at SRGT?

A: As Lead Software Developer, I am involved in requirement analysis, work breakdown, estimations, development, testing and client support. In other words—everything!

Q: What kind of projects have you been working on? What makes those projects interesting to you?

A: I have been involved in all the Healthcare [TopCare] projects and am currently working on SRGT’s BlenderLearn™ projects with Henry County. I get to take up challenges and learn new things and technologies for each and every project in both the Healthcare and Education verticals.

Q: How do you contribute to the development process?

A: As a team, we discuss the requirements for a new project and come up with the best approach. Most of the time we will provide configurable solutions, so it will be easier for future and upcoming projects to implement these same features, saving us time down the road.

Q: What is your favorite part of your job?

A: Solving problems and making the lives and/or jobs of others easier and provide something of value to someone is my favorite part of the work I do.

Q: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

A: I would like to go somewhere like a lagoon with my family. I love the combination of water and greenery together.

Q: What is your favorite hobby (outside of work)?

A: I am a movie buff!

Q: Which superhero do you identify with most?

A: My dad is my superhero. The way he handles family, business and people around him has had a great impact on me.

Q: Tell us about your family:

A: My wife, Lakshmi Danduga, was a former employee of SRGT. I also have a 17-month-old daughter.

Q: Where did you grow up and what makes that place special?

A: I grew up in a village called Thripuraram. My mom and dad still live there and I have many wonderful childhood memories of growing up in that village.

Q: What is your hidden talent?

A: I think I do not have any hidden talents. If I do, they are hidden from me!
